I co-edited as well as designed this monograph of the Russian-American artist, which combines reproductions of paintings with three essays—including my own Dummy Text—and a conversation. The paintings’ titles double as running heads to imply a surrogate narrative. Various layouts are used for different types of text and three satellite sections at the back of book: a series of visual reference points, an illustrated chronology of exhibitions, and a catalogue of technical details not included elsewhere.
